Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is the unethical act of copying someone elseโs ideas, processes, results, or words without explicit acknowledgement of the original author and source. Self-plagiarism occurs when an author reuses large parts of their own previously published work without appropriate references. This includes publishing the same manuscript in multiple journals or modifying a previous manuscript with new data.
IJISEA Journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal seeking to publish original research articles that are theoretical, exploratory, and focused on educational theory, instructional design, teaching methods, student management, and case studies in higher education.
The journal is strictly against plagiarism. All manuscripts are checked using iThenticate/Turnitin software. Manuscripts found plagiarized during initial review are immediately rejected. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the Editor-in-Chief will investigate and take corrective actions, including notifying the authorโs institution and potentially retracting the paper.
Types of Plagiarism
- Full Plagiarism: Copying published content without changes in text, idea, or grammar.
- Partial Plagiarism: Mixing content from multiple sources with extensive rephrasing.
- Self-Plagiarism: Republishing oneโs own previous work without proper citation or acknowledgment.
Policy and Action for Plagiarism
IJISEA respects intellectual property and expects authors to uphold ethical standards. Manuscripts found with plagiarism will undergo the following process:
- The author(s) will be contacted to provide an explanation within two weeks.
- If no response is received, the Director/Dean/Head of the institution will be informed for further action.
- IJISEA will immediately remove plagiarized manuscripts from its website and disable access to the full text.
- The manuscript will be marked as "Plagiarized" and the authorโs future submissions may be banned for 3, 5, or 10 years or permanently.
- The list of such authors, along with their contact details, may be published on the IJISEA website.
- Any additional actions recommended by the Fact-Finding Committee or the Editorial Board will also be taken.
IJISEA is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and will support original authors in cases of misconduct.
