Geo Spatial Technologies for Epidemiological Studies and Disease Prediction - A Remote Sensing and GIS Perspectives

Chinnam Yuvaraju, Dr. Iyyanki V. Murali Krishna, Dr. Murali Krishna K. V. S. G.

This study reviews the potential use of remote sensing and GIS applications for spatial prediction of vector-borne disease transmission. It discusses how satellite-derived information, ecological modeling, environmental variables, climatic factors, and GIS-based spatial analysis can support disease prediction, vector mapping, and epidemiological studies.

OFDM PAPR Reduction with Selective Level Mapping (SLM)

Panchireddi Raveen, Uppalapati Venkata Ratna Kumari

This paper considers Selective Level Mapping for reducing Peak-to-Average Power Ratio in conventional OFDM systems. The method generates statistically independent signal sequences by multiplying the original signal with phase vectors before IFFT operation and selects the sequence with the lowest PAPR for transmission.

Optimization of PAPR in OFDM using Orthogonal Selective Level Mapping (SLM)

Panchireddi Raveen, Uppalapati Venkata Ratna Kumari

This paper presents a low-complexity Selective Level Mapping technique for optimizing PAPR in OFDM systems. The proposed method uses orthogonal vectors to generate statistically independent sequences before IFFT operation, achieving similar PAPR reduction performance to conventional SLM with reduced computational complexity.

Optimization of Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in OFDM using SC-FDMA

Panchireddi Raveen, Uppalapati Venkata Ratna Kumari

This paper analyzes the use of Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access for reducing PAPR in OFDM systems. By introducing an FFT block before IFFT operation, the system reduces peak power while retaining OFDM properties, with PAPR performance evaluated for different FFT and IFFT orders and modulation schemes.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) System

Panchireddi Raveen, Uppalapati Venkata Ratna Kumari

This paper discusses the fundamentals of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing systems, including single carrier communication, multicarrier modulation, OFDM structure, advantages, and disadvantages. It highlights OFDM as an advanced communication technique offering spectral efficiency and resistance to ISI and multipath fading.

Walsh Hadamard Transform based SLM for PAPR reduction in OFDM

Panchireddi Raveen, Uppalapati Venkata Ratna Kumari

This paper proposes a Walsh Hadamard Transform based low-complexity Selective Level Mapping method for reducing PAPR in OFDM systems. The technique multiplies input signals with Hadamard orthogonal phase vectors to generate independent sequences and selects the sequence with the lowest PAPR for transmission.
